The following services are provided at our office. If you have any questions, please contact us.
(Remember- regular brushing and flossing can help prevent dental decay and disease, making our job and your visit much easier!)
*NEW PATIENT EXAM*
Looking for a new dentist? We're looking for new patients! Give us a call or email us to set up your first appointment. This appointment will be an hour long, and you will be asked to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out some paperwork for us. Let us know of any insurance coverage you may have (bring in your card if you have one), as we can submit your claims electronically after your appointment. During your appointment the dentist will ask for your medical history; please let her know if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. The dentist will then preform a comprehensive oral exam to look at gum health, signs of decay, early signs of mouth or throat cancer, positions of your teeth, tongue health, bone health and the condition of any previous dental work. The dentist will also preform a cleaning and take x-rays of your entire mouth.
Complete oral examination
A comprehensive exam which includes oral cancer screening. This requires a longer appointment than a basic cleaning.
Radiograph examination (X-rays)
With our new digital x-ray system we can review x-rays and important diagnoses can be made. X-rays are generally taken once a year after your regular cleaning.
Hygiene services - deep scaling and polishing
Regular cleanings are key in maintaining your oral health! Most patients are on a 3 or 6 month schedule.
Bonding & Veneers
Restoration of decayed or fractured teeth using tooth coloured composite resin to retain tooth structure and appearance.
Crowns on natural teeth and implants
A cap that looks like a natural tooth and acts to protect underlying tooth structure that cannot be repaired with fillings. This procedure requires two appointments- one to prep the area and take impressions (which will be sent to the lab so that the crown can be made) and another to insert the crown.
Bridges
Bridges are non-removable and are used to replace missing teeth. They are very natural in appearance.
Extractions
Removal of teeth that are infected or decayed and cannot be repaired by root canal therapy or restorations/fillings. For more complex extractions we usually refer to a trusted oral surgeon (see 'Resources page for more details).
Tooth whitening
In office and take home kits are available to enhance the color of tooth enamel. We make custom bleaching trays in our office.
Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and look very natural. They can be partial or complete. This will require multiple appointments and impressions to be sent to the lab so that the denture can be manufactured.
Bruxism appliances
These mouth guards help to reduce or eliminate grinding during sleep.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
We can offer nitrous oxide or light oral sedation to reduce anxiety or apprehension during dental procedures.
Root canal therapy
This involves the removal of compromised root and nerve tissue from the inside of the tooth. A filling is left behind in its place. For more more complex root canals we usually refer to a trusted endodontist (see 'Resources' page for more details).
